Hi all

I have come across a natural product Remifemin (Black Cohosh) which is generally used for perimenopause and has also been used in a few other circumstances but generally perimenopause... It claims to lower LH without impacting on FSH and will not effect Oestrogen...

I am just wondering if anyone has actually used this for PCOS?

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 18... spent the last 5 years getting everything working properly (lost weight, took medication etc.). I was on a regular 8 week cycle before I went on the pill (contraception rather than PCOS treatment)... Came off the pill wanting to fall pregnant, conceived strait away (found out 8 weeks after stopping the pill when I was 4 weeks pregnant)... Miscarried at 14 weeks (cause unknown but assumed unrelated to PCOS... Missed miscarriage with embryonic demise at around 6 weeks)... Now my PCOS is back with a vengence... so here I am...

I can't find anything that refers to using Remifemin in PCOS but the basic effect sounds like it could be helpful...
