Hi,
Just last month and again tonight I have seen some mid cycle bleeding that I have never had before in my entire life! I have had lots and lots of trouble with my bowel for the last 6 months, bloating and really bad flatulence as well as impactions. Not to mention unbelievable pain!
I don't know what to do because my GP really doesn't give a damn.
I am scared, I am really upset.....I don't know what is going on or what I should do and I feel like I am loosing it.
Please help
M.J

So sorry, sounds like you need a new GP.
theres no openings for another GP in town. I don't know if I have endometriosis which would explain why I haven't fallen pregnant, or if there is another proble? All I know is that my body is saying something and I can't get to the bottom of it and I am scared its something bad.....I don't have any children and if there was a reason I lost my reproductive organs right now It would be the end of me for sure. I just couldn't deal with it.
Hi MJ, can you go back to your GP and insist on further investigation? The only way to diagnose endometriosis is through a laparoscopy.
I had similar symptoms when I had endo, but they are just a few of many, it could be many things. Are you on the pill?
Try not to stress out (I know easier said than done!). When I was diagnosed with endo, I had no children either and my doctor told me that I had severe endo, both tubes completely blocked and wouldn't be able to conceive naturally and that IVF would be about 30% success rate. Well 6 years later I have 2 healthy children and 1 on the way - ALL 3 conceived naturally. Don't give up hope yet. Keep pestering your GP for further tests, etc. Good luck. xx
Endo doesn't mean the end of your reproductive organs hun. Endo can be removed with a simple procedure by laparoscopy.
I'd definitely be more firm with your GP and ask for these symptoms to be investigated further. The only way to tell properly if you have endo is by having an investigative lap.

The symptoms you mention could possibly be endo, but could be something more serious as well - not trying to be alarmist, but ovarian cancer is the silent killer of women because they are ignored when they thing something is wrong. Please do go back to the gp and make a bit of a scene about it and if necessary, print off oc symptoms and take them with you and point them out to the gp. It most likely isn't oc, but you do need to have investigations made regardless of what it is!
You do have the right to demand treatment. If your GP isn't concerned, ask him/her if there is anything you can do to allay your fears (ie, tests!). If the problems with your bowels are new as well, and you haven't changed your diet, that's worth checking out. I would be pushing it - and definitely take someone with you to be your advocate. Is your partner or Mum or a good friend able to come with you?
If you get no joy, I'd call back the other GP (who has no openings), and tell them the story and how scared you are and that you're desperate for a second opinion, is there anything they can do to help you out?
Good luck hun. I don't have endo, but I do have PCOS and was down the assisted conception track. I am now pregnant with our second (but have had 3 pregnancies) - they've all been natural. There are lots of horror stories, but equally so, there are lots of success stories. My PCOS was diagnosed after mid-cycle bleeding too.
I agree that you need to be more pushy with your GP.
You can't diagnose yourself so it is his responsibility to do so.
Thanks ladies.
I wonder if GP doesn't care because Im 40, doesn't think pregnancy for me is realistic or ideal so its not important! I would be lucky to get a referal for a laproscope. This GP has reduced me to tears SO many times I have lost any respect between us.
I went to GP just last week, was in there for 5 minutes, and got told go home and do your sugar stuff come back in a month with readings...I didn't even get to the next point and I was being shown the door! $65.00 for GP.. zero for me. I have had a pain and a lump in my abdo that I bet I have a small hernia after bumping into the corner of a picnic table and the pain I have had since 2009 down into my groin is horrendous! ultrasound showed zip-sometimes I wish I could put my hand in my abdo and rip it out myself what ever it is.
But thanks heaps, even though I still really upset.
M.J
MJ, maybe ask your GP for a referral to a fertility specialist. At your age, you want to start the ball rolling quite quickly, and sounds like your GP isn't going to do this for you.
you need a new GP hun. Even if you have to travel to see them, you need a new GP. Your health is too important not to find a new GP. GL
I burst into tears today when mum mentioned menopause!
I have an appointment set for a couple of weeks at community womens nurse no where near the GP for a pap smear first. Is that the first place to start?
M.J
Can you ask your nurse / new GP about an AMH & FSH (blood test)? FSH I think needs to be done CD3, AMH can be done anytime. It should give you some idea of your ovarian reserve, and perhaps how worried you have to be about impending menopause.

Hi Mejane, have you done a parasite treatment? You may find that it gives you a lot of relief. Speak to a herbalist about this.
