Hi. I am new to this site and thought I would leave a thread to see what other's think.
I am 28 and I have suffered with pain with my periods for years now, but it has been gradually getting worse. Anyway I am due to have day surgery soon for a biopsy for cervical cancer, and in passing I mentioned to my gyno about the pain and he said it sounds like endo. Great a name to call the blasted pain.
So he said that they will do a lapro something or other. But that was 3 months ago and I am still waiting on a date for my operation.
Today however I got my periods and decided to go to the shops. while there I suffered the most sever pain I have ever experienced. I was on the ground, crying the pain was so bad I couldn't move. It lasted for over half an hour. My back ached and I was nearly vomiting with pain.
Once I was home I then took 2 heavy duty panadol. And laid on the lounge. After a while the pain went. So I guess what I am asking is this normal or whould I ring my gyno and let him know.......
You poor love. That sounds like such a nasty thing to happen. I hope you are feeling a bit better today. I would definitely be contacting either your gyno or GP asap.
I am sorry you are still waiting for your op. It is so hard not knowing what is going on. Is there anyway you can ring and see how your case is progressing in the operation queue? My gyno gave me a rough time estimate when I booked in for my lap through the public health system which turned out to be spot on.
I would be ringing gyno if i were you, better be safe then sorry plus you never know if you tell him about what happend when you were out at the shops he might be able to push things forward and try to get you in earlier.
best of luck
please let us know how everything goes
