Hi Chris.
Well, at the moment, I am not actually taking any "drugs" - hormone, natural or anything. I seem to suffer the same degree of symptoms no matter what, so I decided not to bother and we will see how this op goes and take it from there. The doc did put me back on the pill to try and ease things, but this hasn't worked either...also, it is a catch 22, as obviously, we have been trying to conceive for over 4 years and taking the pill sort of doesn't make any sense as this is obviously preventing me from becoming pregnant anyway!
The only thing I have done is try and change my diet. I am already a vegetarian (since childhood) and have now cut out most dairy and eggs too. I don't know whether this is actually doing anything, but I belive it can in the long run. My aim is to cut out the little bit of dairy I now have as I keep reading that this is a huge factor, so we will see.
Have any "drugs" helped with your symptoms? And what is going to be your next step???
How are your symptoms today?
Hi,
I have pain constantly at the moment. It is not so bad when I first get up but by 12 -1pm I am really feeling it. I don't like taking any pan forte or Naprasin because of the side affects I get from them when they are mixed with my other medication. I try to wait till the kids are in bed
On Friday I am seeing a Dr about my medications and their interactions with each other. I hope to find a mix that will let me have a better quality of life.
You might find B6 (100mg), co Q10, flax seed oil and folate might help. Google them and see what benifits they can give you when TTC.
Hi Chris.
Thanks for the suggestions - I will definitely check them out.
Good luck for the doctors Friday...let me know how it goes for you.
hugs x
P.s Op is 3 weeks today...and counting!!!
Hi all,
I just saw your post & wanted to say that you are not along. I just been diagnosed with server endo & I'm booked in for a major operation next month. Since the diagnose, I been stress, sad & overall down. Since its still early days for me, people around me are trying to be supportive, but I think my husband already starting to be over the fact that I'm down & letting this thing consume me (doing research about endo constantly). I understand that its not fun to be around me at the moment, but in the same time I would expect more support (on all levels - emotional & with the house work). I'm also not from here so I don't have my family around (just my husband & in laws), so it feels very lonely at times.
If any of you are in Melbourne, I'm happy to meet so we can have a little support group. I think it will help if we can turn to each other when things get emotional. Please let me know if you are interested.
Hope we all feel better really soon.
Hi all,
I am currently torn since my visit to gynae on Friday. He wants me to take synarel for 6months to prevent endo regrowth after I had extensive amounts removed 6 weeks ago.
I am not sure whether this drug is the best idea for my body, but I guess the specialist knows best.
