    Awesome expressing!!
    Well done!

i remember when my little premmie man was put up to my boob with cpap still on
he licked my booby like a little kitten but damn it was awesome
his mouth looked soo small again my ginormous boobs lol
    enjoy!!!!
    Gorgeous!!!
Such a precious moment, my nurse and I both cried when DD3 latched on and suckled, and I did again for my little man

Remember have your camera close when it may happen, I have photos of those feeds and they are treasured memories.

325mls today so far. One more expression to go

And Amelia sort of latched... It's a bit hard with cpap in the way.

She started suckling but got tired. She didn't get any of my milk... Apart from the tube feed but she found my nipple straight away and knew where it went. She's so smart.

We will keep trying and have her latching again and sucking soon.

We are going to have to rename this thread the "supply increasing" thread soon - you have both come on in leaps and bounds. Well done to both of you

Bit of an update, my supply majorly dropped the day after my good post. I was lucky to get 150mls all day.

I was prescribed motilium. And I think its working. I guess it will take a few days to see the full effect from it.

    Thanks everyone for the support.

The main thing is that it's important to you for your baby, and you are able to keep trying and doing whatever needs to be done, and that's a majorly positive achievement in itself in my opinion! Well done

every ml you get is a win, hun.

you've already done so much more than so many others do - keep patting yourself on the back, and acknowledging your own hard work, and the fantastic gifts you've already provided for your DD.

sending strength and love and prayers xoxo

Lys, you are doing such a great job persisting like this. The motilium will take a few days to take full affect, you're right. Hang in there

How much more milk should I expect with the motilium? Will it just start gushing out? Or would it just increase slightly?

Good question - I don't know the answer to that sorry hun. Hopefully Barb or someone who has experience with using motilium will pop in and help!

I'd hazard a guess that you won't go straight to milk gushing out - not like when you milk "came in", if you experienced that (I never did). It might just increase gradually... but I'm not sure. Sorry!

You and your LO are doing so well.

I am not sure about the increase with motilium, but I think that it depends. Every mother is different, so one person may experience a greater increase than another. I think the most important thing is that you are perservering and that even though your supply is going up and down, it is still constant. I am not sure if this has been mentioned, but a baby is more efficient at suckling and stimulating let down than even the best pump, so once your DD latches on and manages to suck, you will hopefully find that maintaining your supply is easier. As a PP said, hand in there. You are doing brilliantly.
