I guess it's very personal, but for me, simply being a mother made me feel sexy, it makes me feel powerful and womanly. Physically, I still don't feel I'm 100% sexy, but mentally I do.
For me, no. Not yet anyway. Maybe one day. I hope with all me heart one day I will fell sexy and confident, even just a little again. But not yet. And not since having DD. I have and have always had issues with myself physically, as in self esteem and being self conscious. Unfortunately before I had kids I had no reason to have an issues, even though I did. Now I have real reason to and I feel a bit of regret for feeling so terrible about myself before, because in retrospect, I was gorgeous. But I don't think it will ever be the same either, because you're not the same, iykwim?
I definitely do. I'm a large woman, I'm two babies and 10 pregnancies down so there are plenty of things that are nto as perky and firm as they used to be. Stretch marks, flabby bits - you name it. I know I'm not sexy to everyone, but I KNOW I'm sexy to my DH and he is the only one that counts. I know that he finds me sexy - both pregnant like now and not. I'm a strong, passionate, capable woman and birthing my husband's children has only made me more so to both of us. I don't know if its the confidence that comes with age, or just that I have a DH who truly adores me for who I am, and never makes me feel anything less than sexy, beautiful and desirable.
It won't be 'the same' because things are never the same once change happens. Iykwim...
I am assuming from your post that for you (or your DP) 'sexy' is intrinsically linked to physical appearance. It isn't for me (or my DP). I don't think there's anything as sexy as someone who is confident in their skin, themselves and their relationship.
No way do I feel as sexy as did before. My tummy is all flabby and wrinkly and my breasts are saggy- they were both much sexier areas of my body before! I don't feel as good about being naked because I prefer my tummy covered or my breasts in a bra. In terms of my libido I found it didn't return till my period returned (first baby that was 14 months, this baby I'm still waiting and my libido is low). Once that happened I was SUPER horny so that was good
You need to give yourself time to recover and just relax. Things have been different for me since the birth of DD, i don't think it is ever the same- it is a big change that your body and mind go through.
I have found that i am much more comfortable with my body now, than pre-baby (not straight away it took a few months) but it's not related to how my body looks. I was trimmer and more toned pre-baby but much less appreciative and confident of my body.
My tummy is just starting to change from its baby shape but I stil have that "belt" from having a baby. I've had 3 babies + ... before I got preg with DD I had just got back to a pre-preg size.
I have found doing alittle exercise everyday helps you to feel better about yourself. But I think some things never go back- ie my hips are wider now
2.5 weeks out from having a baby I imagine you are tired and overwhelmed - don't underestimate the effect sleep deprivation can have on your libido. Take the time to redevelop intimacy with your partner - you have both had a massive shift in your lives and you may feel like a different person.
It took a little while, but I feel soooo much sexier now than I ever used to. I appreciate my body so much more, and embrace my stretch marks and less than perky bbs. I feel so womanly and strong!
I saw a great quote regarding stretch marks, if they are making you feel less than sexy - "your body is not ruined. You are a tigress who has earned her stripes" or words to that effect
I have to say, too, and sorry if TMI, if you had a vaginal birth, odds are on that you'll have increased blood flow and added sensation as a result. I was a little worried about the effect of birth on that area, and given that I had 2nd degree tears I thought it could be all over, but happily... So no, it's not the same - actually better!
Be patient with yourself, and let it happen as it happens.
xox
Hopefully that will happen cause I had internal and external tearing still healing, my libido is fine I'm a little annoyed I have to wait to heal but I just don't feel as attractive
