go with what your heart is telling you!
Jason was born in 2005
Marcus was born in 2007
Bubble will be born in 2009
There is 22 mnths between Jason and Marcus and there will be just under 23mnths between marcus and bubble!
I have 4 under 7 and wouldn't change a thing! Admittedly, my day starts at 6am and finishes at about 7.30pm and is pretty much non stop all day (what with washing and folding and dishes and cooking and feeds and baths and school and preschool drop offs and pick ups ... you get the picture!) and I still want more!!
We already have an 8 seater car and a new house is in our 5 year plan (we'd love a bigger house on acreage!) At the moment, we have 2 kids in each room, but the bedrooms in our current house are like triple size (imagine being able to fit 2 king size beds into a room and still have room for more furniture and room to move!! And that is the size of each of our 3 bedrooms!) We'd love another girl (currently 3 boys and 1 girl)
As far as our relationship goes, I already had my eldest 2 before we met, so we have always had kids around from the start.
But like dachlostar said, it does depend on your coping skills - sometimes it's a struggle, but only if I'm sick!! My kids are usually pretty good!
Personally, I'd do it again in a heartbeat! Getting DP to agree this soon is another story!![]()

I jumped in feet first, be damned the consequencesMy desire for another one now overrode my being afraid of having 3 under 3. Good point is its DONE in quick succession and they grow fast! Bad point is you have to right off atleast 4yrs straight to sleeplessness etc
Good luck with your decision!
I've been thinking the same thing.
I'd love to have #2 close to DS. I tested 2 days ago but got a BFN
I'm lucky that DS is a good sleeper. The only thing I worry about is how DS would take having a little brother/sister he loves his attention (Don't they all?) & he's so clingy I can't even leave him for more than 30 mins without him screaming 'mum mum mum' the whole time...
Oh gawd, my DS#1 turned two about 3 weeks ago and my 2nd is aonly 5.5 months old and I have been thinking about number three since my 6 week check up!Don't think I would have thought about it but my OBGYN said not to leave it to long and hey presto I had the booming sound of my 'biological clock' in my ears!!! I am 35 yrs old in Nov but don't want to ttc until NJ is around the 12 month old mark. DS#1 was 11 mths old when I fell preaggas the 2nd time.
I need to find a thread of Mums having babies 35 yrs and older....
AnnaT - thats how I feel sometimes, I should just jump straight in and worry later! lol
Best of luck with whatever your decision
xxxx
Well I haven't had a great deal of sleep for over 2 1/2 years already.. what's another couple of years? hehe. Just wish I could convince DH (still working on that one) I also want similar age gaps between all of them coz I don't want the 3rd one to be left out because of a bigger gap. Hope that makes sense. Of course you can't always plan things that specifically LOL - dunno how long it would take to conceive!
Bekz - by the time the baby arrived, Loren would be heaps older and very different, and it's impossible to predict what she'd be like (sleep & behaviour-wise) so I say you might as well just go for it
Shopping is a bit scarey. I went shopping with my two the other day, and right at the end DS started running off and climbing stuff while I was paying, and OMG, I dunno how I would shop with 3. LOL. But again, by that time DS will be probably close to 4yo so will be at preschool or something, so that could then be my shopping day. I'm sure we'd work it out as it happened![]()
Liz - If you do it then I will!!!!
DH and I had the ttc talk last night. We both want 3 kids and our thoughts are to ttc sooner rather than later. I don't want number 3 to be too much younger than all the other kids in the family.
However, currently I am so tired and I still feel like I have not recovered from having Loren. Mainly due to lack of sleep...I am worried that I am not being a good mum now
Miss Sara is almost 3 and demanding a lot of one on one attention and activities and miss Loren is on the go too...I am hoping that by the time the new bub is here Loren and Sara will entertain eachother...I think I am dreaming
heh - yeah, that's another factor I was counting on.. that the 2 older ones would play better together by the time the bub came.
i haven't broached the subject lately, but DH often asks me "you sure you can cope with 3?" LOL. So at least he remembers that I want another one. It's a start!
You're doing better than me girls, DH is flatly refusing![]()
I am going to add to my earlier post by saying we have just had the best weekend with our three.
Lexie has just turned two, Charlie is 3, and Olivia is 4.
We have done nothing special: went for a long walk yesterday, gardened and popped out to do a bit of shopping today.
And even the shopping has got easier, LOL!
All of a sudden I feel like we have turned the corner from absolute bedlam to happy chaos.........
Not one tantrum or one poo'd nappy all weekend.......so I am a happy Mummy to my three tonight!
Yay Lucy...Now I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Bek, I only have one and I think it's ENOUGH!! But I bet I change my mind one day. All I can say is those with more than one, you are supermums, my Mum had 3 kids under 5 and I have NO IDEA how she did it!!!![]()
queenbee - I am definately not a supermum. I regularly doubt my ability and coping skills. I just met a lady at playgroup with 4 boys under 5!!! she actually has 5 boys and she works full time....now that is amazing
Babe, we ALL do! I think you're a fab mum, if it counts?! LOL.I regularly doubt my ability and coping skills.
My best friend has 2 sets of twins under 4 - now THAT'S a supermum!! But if you ask her, she'll tell you she just takes it day to day like any of us do...
Willow - Thanks for the compliment, it means heaps luv![]()
