I have always wanted to start TTC #2 in June next year. For myself and DH:

-We need to be stable in our relationship and emotionally before we have another baby. June 2013 is 15 months away. So either, we will just have gotten to a place in our relationship I am happy with, or we will still be a way off.

-I'd like to have a bit more savings than we did this time. Not that we really struggled, but for unexpected circumstances it'd be nice to have more of a nest egg. DH's wage right now is adequate for a 3 person family where one of us is a baby, by #2 he'll have finished university.

That's honestly all I can think of. So far I haven't found the baby phase too expensive. DD still cosleeps, we plan on doing that for probably another 6 months to a year. So the next baby would be in our bed/room for that period of time too. Also I have to factor in the time it may take us to conceive. We may get pregnant straight away (although extremely unlikely!) and that would be great! But it could also take another 2+ years. We want our family (3 children) completed before 30 with a space of at least two years so we need to time as well as we can.
