Well, first let me say we're definitely not all chummy with our mums around here You haven't stumbled into perfect mother-daughter relationship territory

Second, it sounds like for all her insisting she is, your Mum's not at all a baby person. Some people just aren't, and it can vary. One of my brothers sees my daughter as a person, can talk to her, but hasn't been able to touch her (other than a kiss on the cheek) since she was two weeks old. He's "not a baby person" too, just a different kind.

Third, I personally wouldn't want to spend time with a grandparent so indifferent, but that's me. Pretty much, you don't even pretend to like my kid, you're not worthy to see them
