Hi everyone,
Not sure I am posting this in the right spot, but pretty sure I am.

My DS has just turned 4, and the man that he knows as 'daddy' is really not his biological father.
I met DH when I was 5 months pregnant, so he has been there since day one. So as far as DS knows DH is his daddy.
Ex has nothing to do with DS, never has, and apparently I recall him telling me, if I didn't get rid of the baby he never would :/
But, I am guessing one day down the line, he is eventually going to come back in our lives. Honestly not looking forward to that!

So my question is what is the right age to sit down and try and explain this? A lot of people have told me not to bother, but I am going to tell him, he has a right to know, and I will not lie to my DS.

I have told myself, I will not make Ex out to be a bad person, just in case DS does want to make contact, Because I figure he will eventually make the decision for himself if he is a bad person or not.

DS is very advanced for his age ( I am not gloating, but I am very proud ) lol
I also know that right now, he wouldn't understand, well he would but not to the extent that I need him too.

Please what is a good age to sit him down and explain? I also have a DD to DH, so I am freaking out that DS is going to feel resentment or out of place.

Thank you...
