Another varient to factor in is the ages of the children and the order they were born.
I have 1 brother, 3 years younger than me and 1 sister 5 years younger than me and none of us are that close.
Someone mentioned the way you are parented, i think that has A LOT to do with the results.

My sister and I fought like cat & dog, punch up fights in our teens, we hated each other. We only really started to get along when we were in our early 20s. The neighbour used to say that the best form of contraception was hearing us fight! My older sister yelling at the top of her lungs "I'mmmmm going to KIIIIILLLLL yoouuuuuu Winnnnnttttteeeerrr!!!!"

Really? I only have one and probably could have figured this out myself. It's an interesting study, but something like this could never be conclusive. Personality has too much of a role and is unpredictable.

Id be curious to know the median age of the kids who's parents were questioned. Because apparently girls are bit less.......physical as littlies but worse for the fighting as they get older but boys are shockers as littlies but easier as they get older (so Ive been told, I only have boys so I cant speak from experience on the girls part).

Ya I just love articles like these, full of rubbish. The ideal family is whatever YOU want in your life, not the gender of your kids or how many you have or their personalities.

Yeah, really depends on the family.

I have two girls and a boy, the oldest girl is at the 'hide in her room and watch tv/play computer games nonstop' (when she's not around friend's places watching their TVs or playing on their computers) age, and the other two are having an absolute ball with each other in her absense.

Hahahaha, I've 3 sisters - we're officially the worst kind of family you can have! 4 in 4 years too, poor Mum. I don't think we were too bad when we were kids, our arguments tend to be worse now. Although I'm not the one arguing, I live too far away from them all (read: half hour away), so they have their fights and decide who's not talking to who this week, and then one by one they all tell me
