What do you do for time out?

After having 2 lovely daughters and being pregnant again I have just realised that some times I just need time out. Problem is my life is so wrapped up with the kids that I don't know what to do for time out!!!

    What do you do?

For me it would be having some quiet time and reading a good book.

Going for a walk with Ash on my back, I do this when the boys go to their dads house every 2nd weekend.

I go to the gym. The bigger kids are at school so I put DD2 into the childcare at the gym (which she loves) for 2 hours and I go and socialise, sweat and have a laugh!

Every night after the kids are in bed I take an hour or so to spend on BB or FB or emailing friends, reading a good book etc.

Less often I leave them at home with DH and go shopping on my own (bliss!), have coffee with a friend, and my current fave - go and get a pedicure! I'm also thinking of making the most of DH's holidays and taking myself off to the movies one day this week, all on my own

BB, scrapbook, like Willow a pedicure is a good timeout too.
My other fave is to go grocery shopping...all by myself.....daggy I know.
If I happen to get a day off while Darcy is at CC, nothing beats a good magazine.

Some GF's and I started a dinner group, we go out for dinner once a month and we take turns picking a restaurant. We've been doing it for nearly 3 years now and I hang out for it to come around.

I usually have 2 pedicures per year and was considering having them more often..at least my feet will look good whilst the rest of me blows out

I love grocery shopping on my own too, but that rarely happens.

MelS - What a great idea!!!!
