Sorry PZ but i don't agree with that. Leaving a DV relationship is harder than staying IMO. And i have major issues with women who stay and subject themselves and children to that life.

to all that women who have unfortunately experienced these situations.

I should rephrase- as a child of DV relationship, that is my view. My mother stayed 'too long'. It almost cost her her life and myself and siblings our childhood.
She has now entered into another relationship much the same.
