    OMG

Last night I send DH and dd to the video store to go and pick a movie for dd, because she was a good girl and took a nap on her own the afternoon. Anyway they come back, dd in tears, because DH did not want to get her Incredibles (we HAVE that and that's almost all she's been watching lately) so he took out Bolt. Anyway I had the hardest time trying to calm her down and actually "look at the doggie lovie"
She sat throught some of it and then when her father left to go close shop, we sat on the sofa and I talked her throught the last bit of the movie.

SO ... this moring the first thing she says is : "mommy I want to look at the doggie" GREAT!!!!! I overslept, so putting dd infront of the TV would help heaps. I even went to work without the normal cries and constant hugs and kisses (not that I totally mind being late because of hugs and kisses )
So DH phones me just now ... we have a problem. The DVD was hired and has to go back ... B U T little miss "I wanna watch Incredibles" have just changed her tune to "BOLT" I'm seeing potential for obsession here
    Ya can't ever win!!!

Oh toomanyshoes your DD sounds like my recently turned 3year old DD ... the past 2mths i cannot go near Target ... i mean even within the same shopping block without her begging & pleading with me to take her to Target ... & if i don't she cries instantly & then starts howling at the next stage if i say NO to going there ... so off i go into Target & we head for the girl's clothing section where there are 'princess dresses' ... and yes, she has to take one off the rack put it on over her clothes right there then stand in front of the mirror about 2metres away from the rack & then she DANCES & i mean really gets into the dancing like she is in some sort of trance to the music coming form the PA speaker right above the mirror area. Yes, i let her dance to one song only then it's take the dress off & put it back on the hanger & it's rack. Then we LEAVE Target. ... Yes, that's her fix for that day & her obsession

(My DD's middle name is Elise after my sister but i wanted to name her middle name " Trelise " - would you believe it, LOL ... But DP was right Elise is my sister's name after all )

Anything that rotates. Wheels, helicopters, mixers, saucepan lids, deadbolt locks (once he's found the keys), screws (once he's found the screwdriver), lids, globes.

Also pegs on the clotheshorse, pump action bottles and sprays, and plugging things into powerpoints.

We've traded speech for fine motor skills here I think.

My house is like that for dummies (known around here as 'muckies' - DH called them that as a little 'un)!! I find them EVERYWHERE - in my undies drawer, in the centre console of the car, my handbag, in the cats' food bowl, under the kitchen table, behind the TV, under beds, in the yard/garden beds, we even found one in the letterbox the other day!!
It drives me mad - because then when I go looking for one to put her down for a nap, there are none to be found ANYWHERE!!

DS is obsessed with Diego and Pirates at the moment.

DD is obsessed with changing outfits. She wore 3 different outfits today (and leaves them on the floor while she changes in to the next one ).
