    Bright Bots Terry Fitted MCNs

My sister purchased me one of these, I'm yet to use it and wondering if anyone else has any experience with them ie. how absorbent are they, what sort of cover did you use etc?

    TIA!

whoohoo Ash! Me and Baby Leo are converting as well....we are getting 8 BBBs this week. Using Pea pods bamboo at the moment, and are going for tots bots and cute tooshies to try next, and baby bumgenius pockets.

BBBs are baby beehinds bamboos. All fitted nappies need a cover. I am using bamboo because I've seen my neighbour use them and tried a few with Leo and they are way more absorbant than cotton or hemp. I'm buying Bummis PUL cover for it.

I tell ya, I wouldn't be doing it if it weren't for my neighbour because I felt so overwhelmed by all the information about them, I didn't know where to start.

Pea pods are pocket mcn's, I use this with a bamboo insert. I don't find them really that good though, but they are good for spares and they are only $18 at my local chemist. The fleece really keeps baby Leo dry even though his nappy might be very wet.

If y0ou are going for fitteds, you need a waterproof PUL cover, Bummis brand are great I've heard. You can also go for a fleece cover or a wool cover (wools are great for overnight). Bummis covers are only around $17 and I've heard they are the best, also baby beehinds PUL covers are meant to be good, but I like the Bummis as they cover a wider range of weight so Leo can wear them longer. The good thing about covers is you only need a few, so you air one out while one is on bub, then switch. So you don't need to buy one cover per nappy IYKWIM?

Pocket nappies and All in ones don't need a cover, they are built into the nappy.

It's part of the reaason I haven't been on BB hardly at all, because when I do have time to go on the net, I'm surfing nappy sites to research the best for Leo and trying to find the best prices. It's so overwhelming, but I'm quickly becoming an addict, much to the delight of my bank account

I"m so excited you are trying them also!

I have seen Bright Bots. They look the same as teh Fluffies brand. Look them up on Ebay sammi, I have seen them there as well as IRL at the shops. Pretty sure if yo goggle Bright Bots you will find their website. They do all sorts of clothes etc. Bright Bots is a brand Big W carrys in infant clothing I think.

Ashlee, I have just started using MCN this week, I'm using BBB too, with Baby Beehinds PUL covers for day and BBH wool covers for night. I've also got some magicalls All in Ones (AIO). I am loving them all so far, the BBH PUL covers are really great and I think they are cheaper than the bummis ones. Enjoy it!!

LOL Ashlee, I went to one a few weeks ago and bought A LOT of stuff! DH wouldn't let me near another one!! I just got my order this week and I'm loving them!

Who's doing it for you - is it Aimee? I think the BBH parties are a great idea. It's so much easier to buy once you've seen the nappies and had a chance to ask lots of questions.

Aimee is great. She'd get very excited if she saw me there after the money I spent at Christy's LOL!!

Let me know when it is and I'll see how I go. As of next week I will be working 3 days a week so I think it's going to be hard fitting much else in .

Ash I'm going to a MCN one tomorrow, I'm so excited LOL. Yes you can get the BBH pul covers cheap in a package deal usually too. The trial package has some good extras for cheap.

I'm getting 8 Baby beehinds bamboo with 2 Bummis PUL covers (I asked to exchange them for the BBH ones as the sizing is better and they are prettier), 8 fleece liners and 4 cloth wipes + postage for only $215 which isn't bad at all.

LOL you gals are hopeless! I was thinking last night that a few more magicalls wouldn't hurt - but I think I will wait for a while before spending anymore money on MCNs. These things are addictive aren't they?

Tara - I love the look of the BBH covers - maybe because I've been using sposies for so long, but the bright colors are great - I got purple, orange and blue.
