Very true.I think I would need about 36 BBs to make it work washing every second day to allow the wash two days to dry in a Canberra winter.
I also have a clothesline in the shade most of the day
so the drying time in summer is still very long. I'm sure people living in Qld or where there is a decent breeze don't have the trouble I do. The other factor is a DD who hates being in a wet nappy.
It just goes to show that different circumstances can make a huge difference to the practicality of an MCN.
I hope this discussion will help people considering buying a bulk lot of BBs to make a decision. This info is not the kind of stuff included in the advertising for BBs which is why discussions like these are so valuable. I spent over $200 on 6 BBs, three covers, plus assorted boosters, and multiple types of liners to find out the hard way that they didn't work for my DD. I will probably sell them to someone who likes them but I will still be considerably out of pocket.
In a nutshell my two cents worth is:
pros - great fitting nappy, fits well from newborn, bamboo has good capacity for heavy wetters. Well made and great adjustment capacity. Boosts well for night nappy for normal to light wetters.
cons - drying time is much longer than other MCN options, and they don't suit babies who hate being wet. Old BBH version only suits light to normal wetters.
