Firm finger foods for 1 yr old

WOW, did i read that correctly, hes almost 1! that has flown by!
savory mini muffins are great as are slices like egg and bacon or zuchini slice is another favourite here and i even freeze it.

when i am feeling decadent with the kids i whip out the puff pastry and do vegemite and cheese twists in the oven.

lamb chops. they love gumming their way through it (that's if you guys eat meat of course).

sandwiches! DD2 loves her sammies lol.

You might be surprised what he can mange with no teeth. Neither of mine had teeth until late.
Have you tried cooking the vegies less?

I have tried him with loads of different finger foods, textures and softness/firm etc but the type of foods that I have mentioned are what he can handle and I've often thought that it's a good thing I wasn't doing baby lead solids as he wouldn't have been eating much! today I'm going to make a zucchini slice but put it into the mini muffin trays. JLeigh be prepared to have your brain picked on Sunday a DS's party!!!!

Not sure if you've done the slice yet, but I found DS had trouble with the muffins and mini muffins at first unless I broke off the crustier outside bit. Once he got through to the middle it was all good. I ended up making things as one big slice at first, then used the muffins as he got a bit older. Does that make sense? Can't wait 'til Sunday!

Yep that makes sense, I haven't made them yet not sure if I'll get time today either. ds has muffins at the moment, does egg type stuff crust up on the outside? I might make a small batch and see how I go, just think they might be easier. YAY see you Sunday!!! I'm insane with excitement as you can imagine lol
