Does anyone have a Avent Microwave Steriliser?

And if so how long is it supposed to go in the microwave for? I went on the website to find out and it referred me to some UK website and it said 4 minutes but Im sure I remember seeing about 8 mins on the box (Ive thrown the box out hence the question)

The instructions I was given with a second hand one was 8 minutes......just be careful when opening it - I burnt my hand a little bit!!!!

I used to do mine for 7minutes and always left it sitting before opening it up.

Wattage Sterilisation Time

1100-1850W *2 mins

850-1000W 4 mins

500-800W 6 mins

Yeah I got the 2, 4 and 6 minute thing but I just didnt think it was enough. My microwave is 1200w and it didnt seem to be getting hot enough.

I used an avent one and used to put it in for 5 minutes. it said either 4 or 7 mins depending on wattage of microwave so i just thought id go for 5 mins, not sure why.......DS has never had gastro or anything so it must have done the job!

I only ever did 5 mins, mainly because I dont know how many watts the microwave is & was too lazy to look for the compliance plate !!! 5 mins has worked for me though.

the trick is not to take them out the sterillizer straight away and the process continues for a few minutes after the microwave has finished. So put it for around 4-5 mins and then leave it for 5 mins before opening!

Always done mine for 8 mins, then leave it in there for hours till I remember lol!

i do 5 mins. i read that they stay sterlisied in the steamer for upto 3 hours, provided the steamer isnt opened.

The box said 8 mins, so I do it for 8 mins.

My box had the same info that Rachel put up, my mike is 1100 watt so I do it for four minutes, and leave it in the mike for two minutes, as instructed.
