I'm creating a garden in the back corner of our yard where the grass doesn't grow. We live in a rental so i don't want to spend a huge amount of money when I know when we leave it's not going to be maintained. So my plan is to put the edging in and make like a Pot Plant garden with all our pots. The ground is horrible so i'm also thinking that I want to put some time of cover around them.

Sugarcane mulch/bark chips/crushed tiles??? I have no idea. I'm not much of a gardener so not entirely sure what the best thing is to use. I want something that is low maintence and looks nice.

So what are your suggestions on the best thing to use.
