Well, not really. It's up to states laws as to who is legally a parent. Up until two weeks ago Shel wasn't legally a parent. Even though the courts would PROBABLY have ruled in her favour, there was no law to say she was a legal parent, so there was still the fear.

Still, yes it's a good start. We have a health care card with us all on it. We are registered as a family for medicare.
