I also paid around $1000 per cycle but my costs were the reverse... $900 for the donor sperm (USA) and about $90 (Out Of Pocket) for the cycle management/meds/procedure.
    Also a once-off registration of about $450.

    Ours was completely different again.
We are from Qld and our fees were higher than both Leasha and Shades so I guess it really depends on which clinic you go through.
These prices are from the beginning of last year, before the Medicare price hike, so not entirely accurate for right now.
The sperm cost $1060 per straw and the Insemination cost $1200 (got 80% back of Insemination cost once threshold was reached) and we also had to pay a once off registraion fee of $450. So due to these costs we only did 1 Insemination per month.

Thank you. We're still tossing up the KD vs. Anon Donor route, and cost is definitely only one factor to consider, but it's good to know the ranges.

im just curious about this so i hope you dont mind me asking, but ( i dont know how to word it lol ) does it worry you that your child does not know its father?

and what about the prospects of one day your child may end up with a partner that could be a sibling??? Are there any checks and balances for preventing such a senario?

how do you get your head around that when deciding to use an unknown donor sperm?
