We conceived through an anonymous donor doing IVF at Melbourne IVF. We thought long and hard about how we wanted to do it and decided that, for us, the best way was anonymous through a clinic until the laws catch up with our family!
We were really lucky and got pregnant on our first go!! How amazing is that.....
I'm sure you two will be lucky soon, it's only been a few months and it's quite hard to get the timing right especially if it's not on tap! We had friends who tried quite a few times and the time that it 'stuck' was the time they were convinced that it wasn't going to happen, so didn't time things quite as accurately as they had been. Things happen at the right times for the right reasons...
You are right, there are a lot of stresses about being a lesbian couple TTC or being pregnant, the most confronting one is 'coming out' over and over again from baby store sales people, to doctors, to your workmates... You think you are really comfortable with your sexuality and then you have to come out to a 60 year old baby bunting employee and suddenly it's like you're sixteen again
All worth it though in the end......
