oh no your poor DD!! did the antibiotics not clear them up and they just got worse leading up to the hospital stay? or did they clear up and just keep coming back? the GP isnt too worried at this stage for us.
She had 12 courses of ABs in 12 months for infections - styes, callesions, infected mozzie bites, cold sores...in the end she developed acute cellulitis from a mozzie bite on her knee. The oral ABs were only a very temporary fix.
I thought everything was good but I have just noticed today she has impetigo around her nose and face (she has been away for a week). We have a follow up appointment with the hospital paediatrician on Friday so I am guessing more ABs in the meantime I am washing her in micro bacterial wash and using bactroban AB ointment. Hopefully that will help

Glad to hear the doctor isn't concerned about your little one
it is a big worry hey! :-( your poor little one! my GP seems to think that once she goes through a few incidences then her body will have an immunity to them and she shouldnt get them again. fingers crossed. he also said i should get her urine tested to see if she has any sugars in it. i think children with diabetes are predisposed to getting boils. but i dont think she has. hope not anyways.
she ended up in hospital for four days on IV antibiotics
