kass, i had CIN2 - for cervical cancer to fully develop it takes around 10 years (of course there can be much more sever cases, but this is the general timeframe) thats why they only say to have a pap every 2 years.
even if you get gardisil, you still need your pap every 2 years
I had my third & final needle this week the day before my HPT came back positive so i was just wondering if this might have done the baby any harm?? sorry so many thoughts running through my head atm
just for the record... i asked our doctor today at Krystals appointment. she asked how old i was, i told her 23, and she said as long as i only have one 'partner' there is no rush, and i have plenty of time to wait till ive stopped feeding, and make sure i have my pap tests as normal etc
i couldnt ask anymore questions, as Krystal was out the door already!
Thats not entirely accurate.... what matters is if your partner has slept with or touched others before you intimately. Even 1 before you is enough to pass on HPV and most people have no symptoms so you may not know if you already have it. The only guarantee you will not have HPV is if you and your partner were both virgins before you were with each other.
So just keep up with the regular pap smears as it is the most accurate method of early detection.
