I was told I had one too, ages ago. I could feel something so went and got it checked out.. My GP said that they could be left alone, but I have heard something about keeping an eye on them in case they turn cancerous, so I went to a gyno to get it off, and turned out it's not a polyp, but a tear because i laboured with a cervical stitch..
Anyway, I would get it off it mine was indeed a polyp if that answers your question lol. I'm sure it's an extremely minor procedure with the gyno.
