I cycled on a road/race bike until 38 weeks, and only stopped because my belly was hitting the toptube LOL

    Absolutely no issues whatsoever here

I cycled my commuter bike until I was about 7-8months pregnant with DD2. I found that I couldn't cycle in traffic as I was too cautious but just cycling locally was fine. After 7-8m I found that my centre of gravity shifted and I felt a bit unstable so I stopped.

Nai, what type of bike did you ride? Did you try raising the handle bars?

It was just a 3-speed ladies bike - a reconditioned Repco one from memory. It had the step through frame (which I would definitely recommend as I couldn't lift my leg very high and also meant my belly didn't hit a bar) and was quite upright so I didn't need to adjust anything.

ETA - I got a new bike for my birthday and it is awesome - it's a Masi Soulville 8-speed. Hopefully you can see it here http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php...d=225069009702

That's the type of frame I am thinking of getting... so I can use it after too. How much was it? (I added you too btw )

I am so in love with it but it was very expensive (we sold 2 bikes to get that one) - but it is so worth it as I ride everywhere now. They sell for about $1200 I think.
