oooh don't say burger FUZZY! I've got all the ingredients for a veg and tofu stir fry out and now I want a burger.....mmmmmm burger....I need a little homer simpson emoticon.

The ear balls just look like little pin heads, almost like little tiny piercings in weird spots in your ears, they are stuck on in a tiny clear round sticker and you just poke them when you feel vomitous. I spend a lot of time poking my balls

Well, with any luck, I think I might be back to my old M/S routine, which while not ideal, I can deal with. Had my daily 5-7 spew last night, but apart from that managed to go the entire day without loosing any food.

Kirst - To answer your questions from quite a while back I got my blood tests back and not surprisingly my iron, calcium and blood sugar were all low. So I had to up my calcium and iron tablets, and was basically told to eat more surgary foods, So I've been having a bowl of oats with some maple syrup, or is that a bowl of maple syrup with some oats a couple of times a day. I have another blood test today, will get the results tomorrow and with any luck things will be back to normal.

Hope you all had good weekends!

Feeling a little healthy again, after another cupcake weekend! This time for the visiting in-laws. Didn't do too badly. Went out for lunch Saturday and finished a whole vegie laksa, and some of my sis's nasi goreng! I am eating SO much!

Tonight I was feeling a bit yuck, so wanted a quick dinner. We had spinach fettucine with garlic, grated zucchini, pine nuts, lemon juice and chopped tomato. Was ready in 15 minutes, and pretty tasty. Feeling better after it.

OK, rushing to post before Boz wakes up...

Cherished - thank you hon! It was great to have you for lunch and I'm glad you liked the soup and banana bread! Recipes are below...

Dr. Tal - How were the bt results? Hope things on the m/s front are improving too.

Roasted Sweet Potato and Garlic Soup

    1 kg chopped sweet potato
    1 chopped onion
1 head of garlic, broken into cloves and peeled
    2tsp olive oil
    6 cups vege stock
    250g Light spreadable Philly cheese

Toss sweet potato, onion and garlic in olive oil. Roast on a lined tray at 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until tender.
Put veges in a large saucepan with stock and bring to the boil. Remove and allow to cool a little before blending. Return to saucepan.
Whisk Philly into the soup until smooth, simmer for 5 minutes until hot. Serve sprinkled with herbs (e.g parsley, basil, thyme, chives etc) and bread/toast.

    Banana Bread

(I have adapted this recipe, and I change it every time I make it, so you can muck around with it and leave out the nuts or add extra dried fruit etc)
    2 cups SR flour
    1tsp bicarb soda
100g chopped nuts (I use walnuts or slivered almonds)
1/3 cup sultanas or dates (or use a mixture of both)
    cinnamon to taste
    1 Dessert Spoon of honey
    1/2 cup apple sauce/puree
    1 cup milk
1 cup (about 2) mashed bananas

Sift flour and bicarb. Add nuts, dried fruit and cinnamon, stir. Fold through honey, apple sauce, milk and bananas. Pur into a lined loaf pan and bake at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Allow to cool in the pan. Serve by itself or with butter (if you're being less healthy!).
    It freezes too!

JLeigh: Yum YUm YUM those recipes look great, I was thinking about banana bread this morning....

Hmmm choc mint slice....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm gurgle.....I might have to go and get some of those....can you see how food suggestive I am at the moment???? It's insane!

Kirst - LOL I'm still SO food suggestive it's ridiculous!

JLeigh - Might have to try that banana bread on the weekend....sounds SUPER YUM!!

Also you asked about my blood test. Last one came back good. Iron was still a bit on the low side, but it had come up heaps so he wasn't worried. Blood surgar and calcium were good again. My Ob wants me to continue now with twice weekly blood tests though until bubs is born. Just to be on the safe side....maybe I should change my name to 'human pin cushion' It's a good thing I don't have a needle phobia!

Cherished - SO JEALOUS you've gotten to see little Bosley! He looks SOOOOO CUTE in the ticker.

AFM - I made a chicken stew last night with LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of veggies mmmmmm in our pressure cooker (only took about 20 minutes ) had that for dinner last night and lunch today. Was VERY yummy! I'm starting to get back into being able to eat things other then mashed potato and oatmeal

Well, I weighed myself again this week. I haven't put any weight on since March!! Obviously the baby is growing, but I think what's more telling is the amount of chocolate I used to eat at work. I'm sure maternity leave has saved my life (or my butt at least!).

Made a brilliant pumpkin soup last week. DH promptly took himself off soup-duty as my soup is better than his. it's both & because that's another meal that 'i do better'!!

entreat - we are the same! He does Asian and Mexican better. I do soups, risottos, and all the "hmmm, we've got these vegies about to grow legs and walk out of the fridge, what shall we cook?"

So tonight was Asian, SO simple, just gai lan stirfried with garlic and soy sauce, topped with sesame seeds and served with rice.

cheished, I'm up for a smack on the bum too - had a vegie burger and chips for lunch. With lemonade. Which seemed to make the baby bounce around at the scan

Awwww Audax have I completely missed all the excitement and lead up to your scan!!!!! Tell me everything!!! I had a fair bit of Ribena in the 1st tri for the sugar so I'll forgive you for a glass of lemonade you can notice that bubs jumps around heaps more when you do eat something sugary, just goes to show the effects of it.

Entreat you are a champion, why isn't there a bow down to thee icon on BB no seriously you are doing a great job with your weight etc! I think in another week or 2 I will need the belly bely extender thingo on my work pants..

Kirsten if I even get the slightes whiff of salt and vinegar chips I am a goner my mouth just watered thinking about them PMSL. I am feeling very vulnerable to food suggestion too.

Dr.Tal you will have to come and visit hon Lil' Bos is so beautiful! gosh if I wasn't clucky before I sure am now On the iron note I think mine might be low, at my midwife visit Monday my blood pressure was low which can be caused from low iron. I am getting my iron tested again at 27 weeks with my GD test so I don't know what I will do if it is low because I'm already taking iron suppliments every day. At least those darn headaches have gone away!

On the healthy note I am feeling like I'm really looking after my back as I got my maternity supports in the mail on Wed, far out I LOVE them! so supportive and comfy so I'm not too worried about the sore back stage as I'm getting bigger

JLeigh - I have been buying banana bread quite a bit so I am now definately going to make it! Sounds really easy too.

Entreat - thats great about keeping a steady weight. I hope I can do the same when further along.

Audax - I want to hear scan details too!

Cherished, Dr Tal, Kirsten - its comforting to know I am not the only one that has given into temptations with food.

I am going through a massive yoghurt faze. Cant get enough of it - which is good i guess! I have only put on 3 kg so far so I am just waiting for the size explosion to occur.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend! ps go the dockers!

Should not be posting in here... again, today was a slice of bread. Macaroni in broth for lunch. Dinner was store bought falafel with grated carrot, bread and tahini. I didn't even make it through a fifth of dinner before I had to stop.
I'm not keeping stuff down all that well at the moment. Yesterday I had nothing. I ate a bit, but saw it all again Including blue powerade, which created smurfy spew

Have not gained any weight, but 6cm bigger around my tummy - how does this happen?
