I'm so glad you are having an X-ray. My GP misdiagnosed mine and now it's super problematic.

I'm with rouge and div. treated a break as a sprain. I'd actually chopped a bone which ended up lodging in muscle and calcifying to become an accessory bone on its all. Had to have it removed cos it was seizing my ankle up. I still get significant pain now.

Get the X-ray done and make sure it's nothing. Sounds like a few of us would be in a much better place if we had fine that!
