Some great suggestions here Another idea that is kind of linked to the hypnotherapy is to repeat some positive affirmations to yourself as you drift off (or toss and turn) something like: "I am going to have a deep, restful, dreamfree sleep" over and over again. Sometimes i do this if i have to get up early (to meet someone at the airport etc: "I will wake up at 5am feeling rested") It generally works. Combined with Jodie's breathing suggestion could work well too.
