MR, sorry you're having this experience but sooooo relieved for you that it was found early, and it was taken seriously by your dr. There's an awesome Australian BC forum with lots of us young chicks on there, plenty of good tips for getting through rads, so I can PM you the link if you're interested.

Jennifer - there isn't a lot of difference except that sometimes breast cancer is concealed by pregnancy and breastfeeding, like mine was. If you have any breast changes that you are worried about, report them to your doctor and make sure they are checked with ultrasound+/- mammo, and a biopsy if there is any doubt whatsoever.

Wow, lucky you caught it early. Best of luck with the radiation I must admit I am hopeless with breast checks but this is a scary reminder..

So glad that you found it early and are getting treatment. I lost my sister to breast cancer (it moved to her liver), so it is always in the back of my mind

I so wasn't expecting you to type this post about yourself
I must admit, I wasn't expecting to be here myself! Thanks so much for the fantastic support, you are the greatest I'm glad that I've reminded a few people to do their checks. Keep them up!

ETA Jen, as MD says, it's much the same, just a bit harder to tell if something's different. Often it will be just normal changes or blocked ducts etc but if it doesn't go away then it might need investigating. If in doubt, check it out!

All the best on the journey to being cancer free again, sounds like you have a really proactive approach, and good on you for noticing a breast change so early!
Thanks for the reminder. I'm like Heaven, very lumpy all over the base of my breasts so have no idea how I would ever notice anything there.
