Oh I'm so glad to hear that it all went well for you (although I can just imagine what you were talking about ROFL). Tomorrow I think you need to get yourself a good book, and find a cosy little coffee shop and read away the hours till "Radioactive MD' is gone.

I'm glad the biopsy wasn't as painful/stressful than you initially thought. bone marrow biopsies are a PITA :rofl: - I used to hate my regular ones coz of mum (her initial condition may or may not be genetic and starts in the bone marrow) - my brother chickened out after his first, I used to have one every 18 months. My mum was a hoot under the anesthetic - I always got a giggle when I sat in the theater during hers.
Nah the best glow in the dark stuff is the drops they put in your eyes (which then drip out your nose!) when they're checking after caterract surgery - I sucked up big time to my mum's opthamologist for some of those drops to use for raves - totally freaky!
MD - when mum used to go, there used to be much laughing etc, what they would do was the really sick ones would be in their own private rooms - mum only had to go in there once or twice and only when she was close to the end. Yes it can be very confronting, each time I walked in there I used to have to confront my own mortality - but I had to be there for here - even if she was an in-patient at the hospital at the time I'd be there for her each Friday. It wasn't something I had to do, it was something I wanted to do, even if I just sat next to her doing work on the laptop while she snoozed.
LOL very funny :rofl:. Although I did reflect this afternoon that it's only a very tiny slice of the total arse pain that I had while pregnant with SPD!:

APunks - how long and how frequently did you have to get the biopsies for...do you still routinely have them?

I haven't had one since before mum died, I suppose I should, but her blood condition burnt out about 2 years before she got cancer. I used to get them done every 18 months and did that from when I hit 20 until I was in my 30s.:

Ange, I thought of you while I was lying in the double donut today. LOL. Quality time with a machine. We've been watching BSG season 4 and I felt like I'd had a romantic date with a cylon PMSL.
Ok, PET scan showed an enlarged lymph node in my right armpit (definitely have lymphoma) and a mass/tumour/lesion in my left breast (best case it's also lymphoma, fingers crossed it's not breast cancer).
I will be having a core-biopsy ASAP to determine what exactly is in my breast. Hopefully it is a lymphoma because that will mean a single treatment pathway (ie chemo). If it is breast cancer, it will involve surgery and a more complicated treatment pathway (multiple types of chemo).
Either way it's not particularly nice.
Still holding onto my feeling of being utterly blessed that I'm here with my husband and family and not thousands of kms away dealing with it with my DH away on deployment. We're batting for lymphoma because as the dr said, I'm young, I haven't lost any weight (not since I've stopped my gallbladder-enforced diet LOL) I have no symptoms...either way we are going for a CURE.
I believe utterly in the power of my body to heal itself now that I can shine the light of awareness on it (oh and a ****load of powerful medicine).
ETA - anyone remember me writing about my lumpy boob way back when I was pregnant? That's how long it's been there - undetected despite repeated ultrasounds, etc. So there you go.
MD I am praying that it is the lymphoma and that your treatment and recovery is quick. You have a wonderful attitude and so much support so no matter what, I am sure you will get through whatever life throws at you.
Oh hun lets hope it is the easier option!!!
I am so with you on being glad DH is home from deployments, but even if he wasn't, this is one thing that DCO would bring him home for. And being with your family is even more of a blessing, You have the support network you need there with you right now.

MD, I really don't know what to say :hug:. Of course you're still reeling, that is a massive amount to take in, and you still don't know the whole story. MD- Well that is crappy news love. Hope you are managing to deal with it all ok. :hug: I have my fingers crossed it is lymphoma, you would have to be pretty darn unlucky to have both. The cure rates for lymphopma in young people is fantastic, so hoping to ad you to that long list of people asap. Sending all my positive thoughts your way. xoxoxoxoxoxox

OK, well I'm having a Designated Crying Day today. I am going to let myself feel really sh*thouse, and then later on I'll take a bath and get out and start concentrating on how beautiful life really is. Because it really is.
MD - big hugs. Enjoy that bath.
Put some sad songs on and really make use of that crying session. Nothing clears the soul like a good old cry fest. If I was there I would cry along with you.

cry fests are therapeutic. just make sure that you dont catch a glimpse of yourself doing ugly cry in the mirror. kinda kills the groove seeing snot streams down your face LOL!. :D
life is beautiful, but it is also hard, so make sure to allow yourself to not build up too much 'i need to cope' anxiety. this coming from me is almost humorous, but you get my drift.

I'm not going to beat around the bush with this, but this bloody sucks! It's not fair, it really isn't. I don't want you to be sick and have to go through all that. I don't want to be so far away from you and not be able to pop around and help when you're having a bad day. I don't want those two gorgeous girls to have to worry about this. I thought I could be really strong and dish out all the right words to make you feel better but I can't. You are one of the most genuine and gorgeous people I have ever had the priviledge to know and it's just not right that you have to go through all this. I just wish I could take it all away for you.
MD, I'm so sorry to hear the latest developments :hug: I hope you're feeling better after a good cry, I'm a firm believer in having a good gut wrenching sob and you certainly are entitled to it.
Thoughts and prayers...
MD - have a sookielala day - you're entitled to it, do you have somebody there who will just hold you? That is what I always needed the most - just the cuddles, no words, just cuddles.
Then once you're all cried out, I want you to grab some candles, fill the bath, pour some incredibly decadant and expensive bath oil in there, sprinkle rose petals over the water, light the candles, grab a glass & a bottle of wine, play some soothing music and go sit in the bath until you go all wrinkly - or better yet get DH to do all the preparation work and then just go in there and relax. You can put a treatment in your hair and a facemask on if you want to - but you need some YOU time.
Aw Trill. Hun. :hug: It's not about fairness or rightness or wrongness. It's just the way things are. And all the other stuff - how much my DD has to worry - etc - all that is utterly within my control. How I face this and what I do every single day for the next six months of my life will determine how hard or easy this is. The only way through it is through it. I'm the only person who can go there and come out the other side.
The reason I'm on the planet this time is to be a healer. I've been prevaricating over this for too long. The universe is just kicking me squarrrr in the pants to get on with it!! This is my path of power, however it turns out. Healer, heal thyself.
MD all I can say about how you're handling this is WOW.

I"m sorry I had a bit of a meltdown about it earlier, it just seems like too many people I love and care about is having to deal with this way before their time. If anyone is going to deal with this with grace and aplomb it is you my friend.

Trill - can I just say that i'm glad you let it all out. I too have been thinking constantly about our MD. Thinking and feeling all of those things as well.
