    Ovary Pain & nauseas

For the past week I've had pain where my ovaries (mainly left, but sometimes right) and my lower belly just above the pelvic bone. I've also been nauseas.

I'm considering going to the GP because its definately not ovulation pain (none of the usual signs of ovulation present). I'm on the pill and wondering if its cysts causing the pain and the nausea.

Does anyone have any insights on whether cysts would cause nausea? Or if it could possibly be an ectopic pregnancy (haven't taken a test yet so just considering all possible causes).

Not sure if it helps, but the pain intensifies when I'm standing or walking.

    Hi Nella,

I would def get it checked out. I has pregnancy symptoms, sore breasts, missed AF, nausea, thirst, ovarian pain, a little bit more discharge than normal (cyst was leaking) but turned out to be an ovarian cyst. Had a lap done, and there was actually a cyst on both ovaries (approx 3cm each)

Good Luck, hope you sort it out!

Thanks Nae, went to the GP today and got a referral for an ultrasound and have it booked in for tomorrow afternoon. I'm thinking it is a cyst, but have never had one before (or if I have, have never known!) so this is unchartered territory for me.

I had nausea and vomiting, headaches, ovary pain on right side just above pelvic bone also and I was very thirsty. The cyst got up to 7cm and ruptured making me look like I was 5 months pregnant, I WAS pregnant though only 7 weeks.
I hope that it isn't a cyst! I have had 2 so far and both were horribly painful.
    Good luck hun.

Thanks Deedles. I'll just be glad to find out whats going on, I've been putting up with the pain for almost a week now. Same symptoms, and I've been so tired too, and today sore nipples. Strange that they are similar symptoms to pregnancy. My GP didn't do a test but we will see what they say tomorrow. I'm hoping they find a baby snuggled in there tomorrow but I'm trying not to get my hopes up.
