Last year, when i was due to have a pap smear, the dr. said that i needed to relax my muscles otherwise the clamp was going to pop out.

I'm not trying to make light of your problem, but the visual that comment has put in my head of the doc being smacked in the head by the clamp shooting out at him

TD make sure you find one that is sympathetic and knowledgeable of these issues. Many aren't. I've had it about 12 years now and nothing has helped.
