When I woke up in the middle of the night with a 40degree temp after my
Tonsillectomy my parter called the surgeon (paperwork said to call surgeon's emergency number if this happened. She said call an ambulance now. I shook my head at my partner (couldn't speak) cause I didn't want to go in an ambulance.
He rang the hospital and they said to call an ambulance immediately. He gave in and called an ambulance and they said 'nah - just drive her in'
In the end I walked through the front door and they took one look at me and put me straight into a room and let me partner do all the triage out the front while I was already being seen to.
I was in a pretty bad way though
