I need to quit it completely. I went months without drinking it, and now I'm at 1 or 2 cans a day, Coke or Dr Pepper. It even makes me feel sick, gives me cramps and the squirts, but I still drink it. It's time to stop!
Just think of all the money the soft drink companies are making, while their products are one of the leading cause of health problems in todays society (thatsoundsgood et al, 2012).
I am a former Coke addict (of the fizzy variety!), it is hard but only for the first few weeks. You can do it.
My drug of choice is Diet Coke. I don't even want to tell you how much of it I drink . I have been trying to stop for ages, I thought if I could give up smoking soft drink would be a piece of cake yet I'm still drinking the crap!
Yep giving up soft drink is easier than you think.
I used to drink a 1.25l of soft drink every night up until i was diagnosed with pcos and an insulin resistance. If i wanted a baby i needed to lose weight so soft drink was the first to go, along with lollies and other high sugary junk foods. It was actually really easy. The first couple of weeks were awful, the headaches sucked.
That was 3 years ago now, i of course still have the odd drink here and there but i always stop at a glass. I also find i get really sick if i drink a lot of soft drink. I went to a friends 30th had about 4 cans of soft drink and was sick for days.
It's been about 30 seconds since my last soft drink Pepsi Max is my drug of choice.....though frozen coke is high up there at the moment. Used to hardly ever have it but since falling pregnant I want it all the time!
