Get some apple cider vinegar. Add a tablespoon to a cup and add hot water. Drink. Add 2 tablespoons to a glass and add water. Sip throughout the day/night. If you dont like the taste, add a teaspoon of honey to the mix.
Peppermint tea can also help.
I've been naughty the last few days, eating copious amounts of bread and today Maccasit's all left me sore and bloated to the point I could easily pass for 5 months pregnant.
What's the best way to soothe my stomach? I'm drinking chamomile tea and lots of water but should I have metamucil or something too? I just can't stand the size and pain it's giving me.

Silly question but is apple cider vinegar, erm, vinegary? I cannot abide anything remotely vinegar so I'm not sure that would help. Or then again I would probably vomit so that might help lol.
Peppermint tea sounds lovely though, thanks for the suggestion.
Lol. Yes, it's vinegary. It is amazing stuff and works well on tummy upsets but it's an acquired taste. I'll drink it like cordial. DH can't stand it and would rather suffer an upset stomach.
Some yoghurt may help as well.
Sadly milk upsets my stomach too, I'm a fussy one lol. I might just give the tea a go and see if it helps![]()
hmm. Have you ever been tested for dairy/wheat/gluten intolerances?
No never, but I've found certain foods disagree with me such as lentils, too much rice, bread, etc. I don't like milk products and rarely eat them but boytwin is allergic to cows milk protein so I wouldn't be surprised if I had a mild intolerance.
Hot water helps stimulate your stomach which will make things move through faster. You can flavour it with a slice of lemon or some camomile or peppermint or fresh mint.
Exercise - go for brisk walk.
Take some Eno.
what's eno?
ETA google answered me![]()
Ok I am all out of peppermint tea, so I might take a brisk walk to the supermarket and get some more and some antacid. Phew, all this for the price of a panini, next time I'll just order a slice instead.
Can you have the apple cider vinegar while preg?
De-gas and a hot wheat pack
Xx
The tea has really helped. I might cut out dairy and wheat for a few days though and give myself a break. I'm not normally this bad but equally I don't normally have as much bread so I guess this is a nice confirmation that being a bit careful with what I eat is beneficial to my wellbeing.
De Gas tablets and peppermint tea then prepare to clear the room, several times!![]()
Activated charcoal capsules will do wonders for gaseous issues!
It doesnt matter. Add as much as you like for taste. The warm water just helps settle the stomach faster.
ETA - I dont actually measure. I just splash some in a glass/mug and add water
