I usually put a squeeze of lemon or lime or grapefruit into my water of a day as it is.

Warm/room temp water is better for your digestion.
Wake up, have your warm water and lemon juice, then go for a lovely walk, eat brekky and then brush your teeth. (that's what I used to do when I was free and single!)
I used to have it on an empty tummy to stimulate my digestive system and to get the gastric juices flowing and then eat about 15-20 mins later (after my shower)

Cider vinegar in warm water also works. Apparently if you have low stomach acid, it can help to supplement it. I don't know why it works, and it doesn't taste amazing, but jeepers creepers you feel good, and my metabolism is always a stack better when I'm doing it.
