DH had similar symptoms for a couple of weeks and finally went to the Dr who diagnosed Giardia. That can last weeks and will eventually clear on its own, but stopped in a couple of days with appropriate medication.

Doesn't sound right to me either. There is a bug you can get from contaminated water, can remember what it's called but a friend had it and she had exactly as you describe. In the end they worked out what it was and she had to have some very strong antibiotics for a length of time to get rid of it.
Have you lost a stack of weight, my friend did, she was skin and bone.

Doesn't sound right to me either. I'd expect you'd get over a virus quicker. More likely a parasite or bacteria problem I'd say. I'd get a stool sample checked.

My son has had constant runs for ages. We got his stool checked and he has a bug in there that needs ABs. The GP also mentioned to avoid dairy for a while as you can develop a sensitivity for a while afterwards. I would go get a poo test done to check it all out to be certain

My friends husband had this and thought it was that water but mentioned above, did the antibiotics still had issues. He eventually got diagnosed as coeliac. I think it just built up as an intolerance for him . Since eliminating gluten he has been fine.
