Your poor friend . I haven't had that experience, but I have used Dermaveen in the past (the moisturiser with the blue lid), and found it very helpful. It is a nice thick cream, that moisturises well and absorbs into the skin easily. And VERY soothing! You can get it easily from chemists. I HTHs, so nice of you to try to help your friend out

Goats milk soap is very gentle and kind to skin. I have used that in the past when I have been on the dreaded pred.

Thanks girls. She is on the high dose prednisone for a kidney rejection. She has had a very bad rejection and is on huge doses of anti-rejection drugs. Up until a fortnight ago it looked like she was heading back to dialysis. Its a long term thing (although not on this dose) I just wish there was something more I can do. I know she is using bio-oil which I told her I thought it wouldn't help the itch and dryness and is also using the Dermaveen. She is my age so its just horrid (and I think I have problems sometimes). I can't believe her kidney specialists dont have any advise except put up with it.

Oh gosh, how horrible for her. Um, can she try bathing in olive oil, or something similar? I'm sure that won't fix her problem, but anything that might help, right? I hope somebody has a suggestion that can really help her.......
