Third nipple?

Just wondering if anyone knows what a third nipple looks like? I have developed this little lump under my left breast which I am begining to think may be a third nipple.

It first popped up when I was about 6 wks preg and at first I thought it was a pimple. I've always had something there, but for some reason remember it being more like a chicken pox scar. Anyway, once I got preg it has gotten bigger and for a little while there it was a bit irritated from my bra rubbing against it. It's settled down now, but I'm not sure what it is.

I meant to ask my GP about it last time I went to see her, but forgot. Anyway, I was looking at it last night and wondering could it be a third nipple? It looks like a cross between a pimple and a wart (but much softer) but is slightly darker...

Hi my DD3 has a darker spot directly in line with one of her nipples(slightly inverted but so are her nipples), the maternal health nurse said it is a 3rd nipple. I suspect you are right and your pregnancy hormones have made it into a bump. Remember to ask the doc next time, also ask if there is anything you need to watch for etc.

I always develop skin tags when I`m UTD and I do have a few just under my breast where the bra sits.

Just wondering what a skin tag is? I've never heard of them before...

I have what i alwasy thought wa a mole on my belly - about 10-15cm under my right boob and when i was pregnant with #2 i was told by my DR that it was a 2nd nipple and very common to have, it was sensitive when pregnant. It is in line with my other nipple!

I would get it looked at though- as someone who has had skin cancers, i am a big fan of having any changes looked at nice and fast just to be sure its nothin!

I agree with Dee, it could be a skin tag. I have skin tags. They're fairly small and developed when I wasd pregnant. They look like a wart cross freckle thing, and I thought it was just persistant pimples until my m/w said otherwise.

as leasha has mentioned they are like little wart things which stick out, they come in all different sizes and shapes, I always have a couple of little ones on me but when I`m pregnant I get more which will often fall off sometime after birth.

A skin tag is a small, brown or flesh-coloured flap of skin that is usually narrow at its base. Skin tags may appear around the neck, under the arms, under the breasts, in groin creases and on the inside of the upper thigh area.
