Wondering if anyone has any suggestions or has a 2 year old going through the same thing!? I've posted in here as well as the other thread cause I'm open to any suggestions!!
My 2 year old wakes up every single morning at 5.30am..... sometimes I bring him back to bed with me and he may sleep for another 3/4 of an hour but usually thats it, he's up, and subsequently so am I.....
He's always been an early riser but for the last couple of months 5.30 seems to be the norm.... I am 4 months pregnant and usually have to get up around 3 to go to the loo and by the time 5.30 comes around I am exhausted and don't feel like getting out of bed....
My hubby works away, 2 weeks on 2 weeks off so Its just me, so I have to get up... no sleep ins...
Does anyone have any suggestions to help him sleep in to a more sociable hour?
My 17 month old DS wakes anytime from 6.30 onwards but he plays quietly in his cot with hig "Big Bear" (his sleep time buddy). He used to wake up at around 5.30 so we put his bed time back from 7 to 7.30pm and he nows sleeps later. We also put block out blinds under his curtains in his room as the sun shines straight into his room in the morning so I don't know which one helped but something did. He'll now wake and I can hear him "talking" to Big Bear and I usually get up at around 7-7.15 and get him up and he's happy and ready to go, go, go!
leeloo i have a 2 year old who gets up at that time too, i usually try and boob him back to sleep but when that doesn't work i have a little box of toys in my room that he plays with on the bed that he only plays with at that time in the morning. i can usually doze off with him next to him and sneak a little more sleep in.

My 2 yr (today) yr old son wakes between 5:30 and 6 most mornings.. What we have started doing is making sure he is really warm before he goes to bed as we think it was him uncovering himself and getting cold that woke him.. Some mornings we are lucky and he comes back to bed with us till 7 but mostly he lays in our bed talking away.
If you wake in the night I would just check he is covered.. Maybe use darker curtains in his room.. That is another thing that we have found worked.. We bought blinds for the bedroom.. He wakes now between 6 and 7
