Yep, the giving an option has worked a treat with getting dressed. Especially since we have largely moved on from the 'no!' phase and are now in 'I do it!' territory......

OMG!! The "I DO IT" territory...we are going through this now. Any ideas on when it's going to end??????????

Not really! She is much more insistent on doing everything herself than her older siblings were. I mean, we went there, but not like this
Best coping strategy we have found is to always ask her before we do anything for her, that way we avoid most of the meltdowns. It's surprising actually how quickly they learn & pick new skills up. And sometimes if we let her have a go, she realises that she can't. Only occasionally do we have to put our foot down and put up with a tantrum.
And lots of repeating 'this too shall pass'!
