Awwwww...thankyou for bumping that, it was gorgeous! Reminds me of a letter I wrote to Moo just before he turned one - always makes me cry! I loved those cuddles, especially when they were becoming few & far between.

Must print out for next time.

That is a wonderful poem. I don't have night sleeping issues, but I do have those moments during the day when a special little moment occurs and I am glad it is just for us to share.

    I have tears .....

I remember singing DS back to sleep when he was a little baby and choking up with tears as he was just (and still is) so perfectly perfect

Thank you for sharing this Marlene, I connected with poem instantly

I remember when you first posted this, i too was going through the sleepless nights. I actually added this poem to a pic of my boy for his first birthday.

I have just mentioned to hubby that all this week we have not had our little intruder come into bed at 3am. I am actually still waking at this time though.
Ah he is growing so fast xxx

What a beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing (and bumping it as I didn't see it when it was originally posted). My DS2 has just turned 1 and we still have 3am (along with a 12am too sometimes) wake up- so this is a great poem to refer back to when I'm sleep deprived (which is basically all the time).

Beautiful! i am ging to save it and read it when his waking gets me down Thank you so much for posting!
    Me too.

When did I get so blubbery?? I'm turning into a right sook! Sleep deprivation and gorgeous babies do that to a person!
    Same here!

Thank you for sharing, brought me to tears as well. Because it's beautiful, and also because I feel guilty for not always appreciating the night wakings for those gorgeous cuddles that won't last forever I might frame this and put it up in the bedroom to remind me when I'm just fed up and angry

    Aww thats lovely!

Makes me realise that I need to think of my DD's wake ups like this... Instead of getting annoyed, cherish it.
    Thank you for posting!
