Lots of cuddles. Also lots of toys you play with together - DS loves me getting onto his play mat and playing with him, seems to take all the pain away because it looks so silly!

    Cold flannels or icy teethers.

You can try natural pain relief or even calpol.

We gave the Brauers natural medicines' they were great for many things, there's quite a range including teething. x

You could try a naturopath/homeopath too, they would have some great ideas.

I second the Brauers tip. Kai was always very unsettled, clingy, grumpy when he had teeth coming and I found the Teething Relief just took that all away and he was calm and happy. It's homeopathic and you can get it at most chemists.

    Good Luck

Frozen wet facecloths and muslins are good.
Also, my cousin and his DP used to cut carrots into fairly thick sticks. They freeze them, then they go all floppy. Baby gets the soothing cool, and possibly sucks down some vitamins too? (unsubstantiated)
An apple slice wrapped in muslin, firmly tied, (rubber bands can snap) then frozen is a variation on this theme. Alternatively ice wrapped in muslin then tied will work but cause a lot of general wetness!
Frozen bread crusts are also good, they're a bit messy, but babies generally are, aren't they?

I have heard someone say recently that celery has numbing properties - not to mention it is nice and cold- you would have to remove the stringy things though so no choking!
