Beware parents in public, DD1 will call you on your behaviour.

In the checkout at Coles with DD1 who is almost 3 and a mother behind us is getting angry at her child. The kid was a bit older than DD1 and I don't know what he did wrong but apparently he was going to be in for 'a world of trouble' when they got home. I think he didn't want to put the toilet paper from his little trolley on the counter or something. Anyway, he ended up getting yelled at and getting a smack, and then DD1 says loudly:

'Hey! What is she doing? What is she doing to that boy Mummy? Hey! Is she hitting? OH NO! WE DON'T HIT EACHOTHERS!!!! That is not very nice!!'

I tried not to make eye contact with them and just told DD1 quietly, 'that's right, it wasn't very nice, we shouldn't hit' and got the hell out of there
