What size (length and weight) was your GD baby?
How many weeks were you when they born?
Were you induced, spontaneous or c/s?
Ive just received my GTT results and its looking to head down the GD path, so i want to get my head around it now JIC. I know all babies are different regardless of GD but just curious
DS was born by elective c-section at 38w4d. Length 49cms and weight 6lb12oz. Elective CS was due to fibroid, not the GD. My GD was diet controlled and bubs had no effects of this at birth. Doctors and midwives were surprised at the GD diagnosis based on my health and physique, I tend to agree with an article saying GD may be being over diagnosed. Good luck, I hope yours is easily controlled.
What size (length and weight) was your GD baby? 49.5cm and 7ld 5 oz
How many weeks were you when they born? 41+2
Were you induced, spontaneous or c/s? Induced but not b/c of GD ending with 'emerg.' c-sect.
James was induced (because of insulin controlled GD) at 39 weeks 5 days, which failed so he was born at 40 weeks 0 days by emergency caesearean. He was 3890gms and 52 cm long.
I once again am insulin controled GD. This time I've refused to be induced and have instead booked for a caesearean at 39 weeks unless he decides to come earlier, in which case we'll give VBAC a go. I had a scan yesterday and he's measuring at the 84th percentile for weight so another biggy but seeing as my husband is nearly 2m tall, thats genetics, not GD.

Dd was 37 weeks and 3.25kg and i think 49cm long. She was in 0000 so very little, her blood sugars were fine but she did have jaundice. I was booked in for a cs at 38 weeks but labour started at 35 weeks, I was nefidipine for two weeks before the contractions got really strong and my waters started leaking.
DD was born at 36 + 6 wks by c section due to pre-eclampsia and being breech.
She weighed 9 pounds 2 and was 52 cm
My GD was managed by diet and blood sugars always great but her weight and abdominal size were in the 99th percentile anyway!
Thank you everyone. Sizes do vary alot it seems. I'm not concerned to much, I'm used to tiny 7lb bubs, so to have one bigger would be a change. GD has been confirmed for me and at this stage, diet controlled
DD2 was born at 40+2
Weighed 8pd 4oz (3800grams)
Length 51cm
Spontaneous Labour
GD was kinda diet controlled, i really didn't worry too much about it as my BSL's were always fine, towards the end i stopped taking them. I just made it into the GD range as the new levels had just changed, otherwise i wouldn't of been classed as GD!
Good luck with it all, as you can see every bub/mum is different so just make sure your well educated and go with the flow
Dd was born at 39+1 via spontaneous labour.
She weighed 8 pound 3 oz and was 50.5cm
My GD was diet controlled and to be honest wasnt too hard because I was borderline. I too did not fit the normal "profile" for GD. I think it was the best thing for me though in the sense it made me careful and keep super healthy whilst pregnant.
