I agree Kateo - it makes you think so much more closely about what you consume, when and how often.
I also notice now on non testing days (I'm down to twice a day, 3 days a week) when I'm more relaxed, I know pretty quickly when I've had too much sugar. I can also tell when my readings are going to be quite low (closer to 3.4 or below 2 hours after a meal) because I feel shocking and can barely focus or concentrate.
Thankfully I'm mostly in the 4s and 5s now without much variation from meals.
