SareBear - i think the extra monitoring is more for those on insulin. when things are in check with just diet & your numbers are good (like yours), there's no real concern. i think it's more if your BSL are out of control and/or insulin that makes them opt for the extra monitoring. i'm on insulin & the last ob i saw said i prob wouldn't need extra monitoring this time & when i had my appt this week it wasn't mentioned at all![]()
