Just back from ob apt and bub's head still not engaged so even thinking about inducement will only fail and I would prefer nature to take its course. Bub is measuring to be between 6.6-7.5 pounds which is pretty good, but still only a rough estimate from doing a growth scan, can't tell until they are born hey?? So, next apt with ob is Tuesday next week (1 day before my due date) so hopefully he will come out before then. Ob said he will see where he is at next week and probably do an internal.....

My little daughter was born yesterday and I'll write a little birth story about it when I get home.

I was delighted and surprised to find out her weight was only 6lb 13oz and 49.5cm long. I was expecting much bigger due to GD and have had to have hubby bring in a couple of Miss 3's old 00000 outfits!

Also beside a low sugar BSL not long after birth, all her other BSL's have been excellent and she's taken to BF which is great. Also no other GD complications. I didn't realise they would be checking mine also and so had a bit of an M&M overload yesterday afternoon lol. When midwife came to take my BSL he said lets see how I handled the M&M challenge. LOL. 4.7!!!!! I'm back baby.

But I have learnt alot about healthy eating through having the GD which I will be continuing because I don't want to develop type 2 so I'll enjoy the choccy for a couple of days then rein it in again.

I hope this is encouraging for you other GD Mums that good control doesn't mean higher risk. Good Luck everyone.

Congrats Jess and what great news about bub, and yourself after your M&M challenge.... I will bare that in mind when my visitors bring me choccies kehehe Let us know what you name her and when you have photos up.

I am expecting my little boy to be big but the ob said he is measuring to be around 3.2-3.8kg which is pretty average, so I wonder what he will be at birth....
