9.8 on GCT... HELP

Hi,

I got my GCT results yesterday, and they were 9.8, this is REALLY HIGH!

Has anyone had a reading this high and then passed the GTT???

Looking forward to your answers... hoping they are what I want to hear!

Yep!! I had a high reading on my GCT and went on to have a normal result on the GTT.

Sorry, im not too sure with the terminology.. but with my short glucose test (the finger pr*ck 1 hour one) my result was 9.4 so i had to go and do a long glucose test (2 hours plus 3 day high carb diet) and my result came back as 7.2..
So if thats what you mean.. YES it happened for me a couple of weeks ago

My 1 hr GTT came back at 9.1, so I had to go and do the 2 hour test... This result came in at 7.8 which apparently is borderline, however I hardly had any sugar at all for about a week before doing the test.... As it was borderline my ob is sending back again next week to re do the test!!! He hopes this time it will be lower......

Bummer flossy... that drink is YUK!!! I hope your result is fine... if not, don't worry to much, I have GD and it's actually quite easy to control!
